Postal Redux (Review)

The Postal remake is out and murdering it. Postal puts you on the warpath as you shoot, burn, blast, break, murder and ravage your way across town to cure it of the ‘madness plague’. You pick up an assortment of weapons, from shotguns to napalm launchers. Various upgrades have been made to the game since the original was released in 1997. The game is largely the same as the original with regards to the way it works, but there is now a new game mode called Rampage and there has been a total visual upgrade to the game.

A familiar scene for fans of the first Postal game.

Rampage mode differs from the campaign in that it’s all about the score by murdering as many people as quickly and as violently as possible while also trying to not take damage for a perfect score. Levels are much more populated and contain different upgrades and ammunition to the campaign. You unlock more levels as you progress in Rampage but you can also go back and try for higher and higher scores.

Go on a Rampage and shoot for the top score!

Overall, the Redux is entirely enjoyable. Sometimes what you need from a game is a good ol’ fashioned murderfest and Postal Redux does that with quality. This game delivers a solid, entertaining experience and definitely deserves the title POSTAL.
